Cricket Format Explained
Before betting on cricket, it is important to understand the differences between formats — because the style of play and betting opportunities vary with each format.
T20
20 overs per innings, match ends in 3–4 hours. The fastest format — more opportunities in match winner, top batter and over/under runs markets. BPL and IPL are played in this format.
One-Day (ODI)
50 overs per innings, a full-day match. The ICC Cricket World Cup is played in this format. Bangladesh Tigers are strong in ODIs.
Test
A five-day match with two innings. The longer duration brings opportunities in draw, innings betting and session markets.
The Hundred
Just 100 balls per innings — the ECB's newest and fastest format. Played in England.
Popular Cricket Leagues
BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) — Bangladesh's own T20 tournament. IPL — Indian Premier League, the world's most popular T20 league. BBL — Australia's Big Bash League. PSL — Pakistan Super League. Live betting markets are available on 99ar for every match in each of these leagues.
Football Betting
Alongside cricket, football is also extremely popular in Bangladesh. Millions of Bangladeshi supporters closely follow the Premier League, La Liga, UEFA Champions League and FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Note that many major European matches kick off between 1 AM and 3 AM Bangladesh time (BST) — so you can easily place bets late at night from the 99ar mobile site.
1X2 (Match Result)
Home win, draw or away win — the simplest market.
Double Chance
Cover two outcomes at once — reduces risk.
Over/Under Goals
Bet on whether the total goals will be more or less than a specified number.
Both Teams to Score (BTTS)
Whether both teams will score or not — a simple yes/no market.
Asian Handicap
A handicap is given to the weaker team to balance the betting.
Correct Score
Match the exact score for much higher odds — and higher risk.
Crash Games — Fast Thrills
Crash games are one of the fastest and most exciting types of online casino games. Aviator (Spribe) is the most well-known game in this category.
How does it work? Place your bet at the start of each round. A graph or plane begins to fly and the multiplier keeps increasing. You must cash out before the crash — and you will receive your bet multiplied by that multiplier.
Auto Cash Out: You can set an option to cash out automatically at a specific multiplier — reducing the chance of making a mistake in a rush.
Each round ends in as little as 30 seconds to a few minutes.
Important: Before playing, set a stop limit for yourself. Because crash game rounds end quickly, there is a risk of playing more than intended. Play responsibly.

How to Read Odds
In betting, odds are a combined figure representing the potential payout and the probability of that event occurring. Understanding odds makes it easier to make smart decisions.
Say a match has odds of 1.80. You place a bet of ৳500. Total return = ৳500 × 1.80 = ৳900. Subtract your original stake of ৳500 and your profit = ৳400.
Divide 1 by the decimal odds to get the probability. At odds of 1.80 → 1 ÷ 1.80 ≈ 55.6% — meaning the bookmaker believes this team has a 55.6% chance of winning.
Fractional Odds
The British format. 4/1 means ৳4 profit on a ৳1 bet. Total return ৳5.
American Odds (Moneyline)
+300 means ৳300 profit on a ৳100 bet. -150 means you need to bet ৳150 to win ৳100.
Quick Reference
| Decimal | Fractional | Probability |
|---|---|---|
| 1.50 | 1/2 | 66.7% |
| 2.00 | 1/1 | 50.0% |
| 3.00 | 2/1 | 33.3% |
| 5.00 | 4/1 | 20.0% |
RTP and House Edge Explained
What is RTP?
RTP (Return to Player) is the theoretical percentage of total wagers that a game returns to players over the long term. For example, a 96% RTP means that on average ৳96 is returned for every ৳100 wagered — but this is a mathematical average, not a guaranteed outcome for any individual session.
RTP is calculated over millions of rounds, so it does not apply directly to short playing sessions.
What is House Edge?
House edge is the casino's long-term mathematical advantage. The simple equation is: house edge = 100% − RTP. A 96% RTP means a 4% house edge. This margin is the foundation of the casino's business. A lower house edge is theoretically more favorable for the player.
Typical RTP Ranges for Various Games
- Slot Games 92–98%
- Blackjack (with correct strategy) ~99%
- Roulette (European) 94–97%
- Baccarat 95–99%
Why Is Knowing RTP Important?
RTP is an important piece of information when choosing a game. Playing longer or wagering more on games with a relatively lower RTP can lead to greater losses over time. Volatility is also worth considering — high-volatility games pay out larger amounts less frequently.
